What is Barrel Aging?
Barrel House Coffee Company ages green coffee bean in freshly dumped whiskey/bourbon barrels. Most of our barrels are sourced from a local distillery to ensure freshness and consistency. The Barrel Aging process adds oaky, nutty, caramel, and vanilla flavors to the coffee prior to roasting. We never add any flavors to the bean after it is roasted.

Barrel House Coffee Company is a distillery-influenced coffee shop and micro-roastery located in downtown Ball Ground, Georgia. We specialize in Barrel Aging coffees. We are veteran-owned, and woman-led.
All our beans are selected based on their flavor profiles and cupping scores. We only select specialty grade beans with a cupping score of 80 or above. While this, paired with barrel aging, increases our operating expenses and cost of goods, we cannot deny the superior quality of our product on the market.
